I had the name of the tier 3 tech and the time NHD had transferred me to that person so they can look it up and see what happened so maybe it won't happen to someone else.
I've had this happen repeatedly in the last few years. Now I have another credit and have to wait for them this Monday. Haven't seen a change in speed at all. I didn't schedule anything. An excellent CSR at the office here told me to call tier 3 about how many upstream bonded channels we have on this side of the island. Tier 3 said I should have 4 and said the problem was likely my teetering on the edge of acceptable upstream power level and that a truck roll was needed to fix that.
You may be correct but don't blame me because Oceanic doesn't properly train their employees that interact with their customers or maybe I got brand new techs on the phone, etc. The CSR here in the local office immediately told me that she was not trained on this issue I also asked why I only have 7 downstream channels.
She instructed me to call Tier 3. I know that Chris Oceanic TWC Tech Support Manager does his very best with training the support techs and I may eventually email him if it turns out the truck roll was unnecessary because your assessment is the correct one.
He will want to know if there is a gap in support techs knowledge and correct it. Very few customers will ask this sort of question because most don't even know what a bonded channel is - they don't even know how to reach their modem's web page.
The truck roll is for Monday afternoon so maybe it can be cancelled if you are correct. Informed rr. Courtesy upgrade notifications will be distributed via email and direct mail on November 18th. Customers will be instructed to reboot their modem to receive the increased Internet speed. Keep in mind this is for the LA and surrounding areas. So if you are not paying full priced meaning have it discounted , you will stay at the same speed.
