We will miss her! I loved going over, and my mom would often drop us off for an afternoon or in the summer, for a few days at a time. A lot of this time was spent one-on-one with Auntie Cathy - she had such a warm presence and maternal way about her, and really made me feel like one of her own.

She had a way of making the ordinary feel special whether it was helping her in the kitchen, or just hanging out. In more recent years, we kept in touch through social media and I would sometimes see her during her visits to Calgary.

Uncle Brad, Jessie, and Jordan, my heart goes out to you and your families. Cathy was a dear friend since we met in Grade 7. Our visits, over the years, were sporadic but we were always able to pick up where we left off. One of our last times together was at the beach for our 65th birthdays. A very special time. Cathy was a kind-hearted soul. No problem was too big for her to try to solve.

She was such a compassionate listener. She wanted to help to fix everyone's problems. She was generous, friendly, and loving to everyone. Her husband's, kid's and grandkid's lives were so enriched to have had her in their lives. May she Rest In Peace for a life well lived. Carla Parker. I wish I could have been there today to give you all a hug.

It was a beautiful service and even from far away I felt like I was there. Cathy was special. Even though our families lived far apart from each other it didn't really seem to matter how much time had passed when I saw her.

It was always easy. It was fun to talk to her. You knew she was genuinely interested in what you had to say and you always had her full attention.

The visits were never long enough but when I walked away from her I just felt better. About myself, my life, everything. You talk about her aura and I swear if I didn't see it I felt it! Her smile was contagious. She always seemed to be glowing. I remember us trading skincare secrets. I wish I could have seen more of her and all of you over the years. We all grow up and we have our lives but there are some people who stand out even when they aren't part of your day to day.

Cathy was one of those people for me. Miss you all. Look forward to the next time we can all get together. Love your cousin, Tara oxox. Cathy you will always be present in our hearts, I will always remember you with your great special smile, this is not a goodbye.. I know you are in a better place than us, keep smiling everywhere because you are a star in heaven now and you will always shine.

Cathy was a genuinely caring, beautiful, confident, smart and strong person spiritually, emotionally and even physically. She was always so positive and treated us as members of her own family. Cathy will truly be missed, she will be remembered by our family as kind, generous, and fun-loving We are so very thankful and grateful to have known her. The attached photo was taken at our first VGK game years ago Oct It was all it took for us to become hockey fans!

Since that day, we would watch the Knights' games, and we would easily spot them sitting behind the goalie. It only took a quick text and she would look up, stand up, wave and smile. Now it will be us looking up, because we know that she will forever be watching us and the Knights from the best seat in the house.

We love you Cathy! The world has definitely lost a shining star. May you find joy and comfort in all the wonderful memories you have shared. I will miss this kind, loving, beautiful woman I had the pleasure of calling my friend.

The belly laughs, the adventures, the wonderful visits and chats I will cherish these forever. We shared many wonderful conversations, always giving me updates about her family and newest adventure. Losing a patient is never easy but her passing has truly left a void in my heart. I will continue to pray for you and yours that you will be much aware of the shepherding care of Christ as you move in and through this valley of the shadow.

I know as you share memories from the heart, the Lord will provide. I am here for you always! Ryon Parker. The world lost a little of its sparkle on the 10th August We met beautiful sweet generous Cathy 20 years ago and we have been blessed to call her our family and our friend. Every visit from Australia to Las Vegas Cathy would make us all feel loved and so so special. She would always make us laugh intentionally or unintentionally and was one of the warmest people we have ever met.

She was a diamond that shone so bright in life and we will always remember and love her. Cathy… Corey still owes you 20 Bucks… we will catch you on the other side.

Shine Bright like the star you are sweet lady. Your Aussie family xxx. Len and I sadly say goodbye to you Cathy… We hold dear the times we have all spent together as a family.

There are so many memories that go through my mind when I think of her, her laughter being at the top of the list. She was so loving and always welcoming when I went down to Vegas.

She surely will be missed! I have looked over the memories and the pictures, how wonderful to see the love in Cathy's eyes and the beautiful smiles! I can remember my brother introducing this attractive young lady to the family. Brad was very smitten with this gorgeous gal that wanted his attentions, as much as he wanted hers.
