I told her to leave her Red Tailed Boa here untill she had things setup for her out there and I would "send" her out. Not realizing how hard it was going to be to find a way to send her. I called pet stores, vets, the zoo, and every type of shipping service I could think of, no one had an answer except for NO. Finally I thought of Captive Born Reptiles, A couple of phone calls later our Snake was on the plane "litterally", we dropped her off at Captive Born on July 1st and she was on the plane July 2nd and short of an airlines employee not scanning the box at one point in her trip, she went to AZ and was picked up healthy, the same day.
Jan from Captive Born Reptiles was the person I worked with and I could not have ask for a nicer more informative and helpful person. She was wonderful and when the airlines did not do exactly as they were supposed to, Jan was on the phone and had answers within a very short time. Also they have never gave me false nformation about all my reptiles. A very Friendly staff that has no problem teaching and leting people play with animals even if they are not buying animals. Many visitors have proclaimed that visiting Captive Born Reptiles is better than a visit to the zoo because not only do they get an opportunity to view a larger selection of reptiles than but a few zoo collections but they also get a hands on opportunity to learn about the animals.
During the one-hour program, the audience will have the opportunity to discuss and hold a variety of different reptiles and amphibians. These include animals found in Ohio and from other parts of the world. Many major pet chains and other pet stores routinely sell wild caught animals without ever telling the customer.
This leads to angry people, unhappy or unhealthy animals and misconceptions about a particular species. We specialize in selling only the best animals, from our in-house breeding program or bred by individuals we know and trust. We have the capabilities to bring animals in from the wild, but only do so when we have to. We also educate our customers on proper care and husbandry.
