The walls are up and the furniture is in it, but it takes a lot more to make a home warm and inviting. People who move in have little or nothing when it comes to household items and this may be their first experience living in an apartment of their own.

Transitional Resources wants to make sure they have everything they need to be successful and feel safe when they move in. Members of the Rotary Club of West Seattle chose this opportunity as a service project and purchased or donated items such as new towels and bath mats, sheets and quilts, shower curtains, kitchenware, artwork. Upcoming service projects include an Adopt-a-Street Cleanup program through the City of Seattle program, as well as yard cleaning projects for area seniors.
